Derren Brown – Use of hypnosis -Automatic Writing

On TV yesterday Derren Brown claimed that he had managed to predict the winning lottery numbers by getting a group of participants into a relaxed state and using automatic writing to get them to write their prediction of the lottery numbers. He then collated the numbers they suggested.

Automatic writing may be defined as a script which the writer produces involuntarily and in some instances without being aware of the process even though he/she may be in an alert waking state.
